In line with all international FIM standards there will be a new Pro-Class regulation aimed at officially electing the world champion of this specialty.

The Italian Motorcycle Federation has welcomed the new championship with interest, giving all the necessary support to having an FIM Hard Enduro World Championship race in Italy as well.

ABESTONE is the race that all the Italian Hard Enduro enthusiasts have been anticipating for a long time. It is proposed as an absolutely new formula for the Italian motorsports scene. The race will be organized by Italian Hard Enduro (I.H.E.), the new promoter directed by Michele Bosi who, in conjunction with a team of professionals, will take care of every organizational, logistic and communication aspect in detail.

Also in Italy we will have the opportunity to admire the technical ability of the best Hard Enduro riders:

The young German Manuel Lettenbichler of the RedBull KTM Factory Team and winner of the WESS 2019; the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team with Billy Bolt, Alfredo Gomez and the legendary Graham Jarvis; the Sherco Racing Factory Team with Mario Roman and Wade Young; the GasGas Factory Team with Taddy Blazusiak and the newly-hired Beta Racing the British Jonny Walker. There will be also the Italian representatives led by the riders Michele Bosi and Sonny Goggia and the teams TTR Squadra Corse and Rigo Racing.

A challenge within the challenge will see professional riders side by side with amateurs, an essential and fundamental feature that has always distinguished this type of racing. To win, it will not be enough to be the fastest: in Hard Enduro you need technique, physical preparation and a lot of endurance. Reaching the finish line is a victory for everyone.

Here is a brief preview of the ABESTONE competition format:

Saturday prologue: a circuit route lasting an average of about 1 hour, to be repeated four times. An extreme test is scheduled within the lap. The prologue route will not include extreme difficulty but will be a challenging enduro ride. Drivers with the 50 best times will enter Sunday’s Main Event, a cross-country style race with a race track, to be repeated for three hours plus 1 lap. Average duration of the lap is around 45 minutes.

More information about ABESTONE will be available from March directly on the website www.abestone.it

The event will comply with the Covid-19 regulations currently in place at the time of the event.
