Liqui Moly Abestone è la stella italiana della costellazione Hard Enduro World Championship. È la “reunion” toscana delle migliori “Band”, dei migliori Specialisti del Mondo, e il confronto tra Pro e Amatori. Il nuovo Campionato del Mondo si basa su questo principio esclusivo.

Abetone, Italia, 3 Luglio 2021. Come cantano i R.E.M., “Tu Diventerai Una Star”. Perché? Perché Hard Enduro è il Campionato del Mondo e il confronto diretto tra gli Amatori e i loro Idoli. Potete andare a Monza e correre il GP di Formula 1? NO, vero? Invece, in Toscana potete sfidare la Montagna e i suoi Dei. La sfida Mondiale Hard Enduro apre a questa possibilità. Anzi, è un principio esclusivo, condizione di base della sua esistenza: Amatori, promesse, dilettanti di cuore, sono una parte fondamentale della storia e della formula. Dal Regionale al Mondiale. Poi ce la giochiamo, e in ogni caso viviamo l’esperienza!

Chi sono le Star dell’Hard Enduro? Sono Piloti di un altro pianeta, che hanno ridicolizzato l’impossibile sulla Terra con una Moto. Eccone alcuni. Graham Jarvis, Yorkshire, 46 anni, il “Senatore Avvoltoio” di Husqvarna. All’apparenza stanco, distratto, ma non vi fidate. Vi lascia andare, vi illude, poi vi divora. Ha vinto tutte le “Classiche”, più volte. Un caso di intramontabile imperialismo agonistico. Tadeusz Blazusiak. Polacco di Nowy Targ, 38 anni, è nato con il Trial, come Jarvis. Aria da chitarrista rock, da istrione. Un giorno KTM gli dà una casa in Italia, argent de poche e una Moto. È diventato una delle icone della Specialità cui ha dato una fisionomia precisa. Ha sostituito la forza bruta di David Knight con il suo modo di volare sfiorando rocce, strapiombi, il vuoto. Ha vinto tutto, più sei Coppe del Mondo Enduro Indoor e 5 AMA EndurCross. Ha provato ad andare in pensione, ma è tornato, con GasGas, ed è lo stesso di sempre. Manuel Lettenbichler. Figlio dell’arte di Andreas, 23 anni, è l’eroe tedesco dei “privatoni”. Ora è ufficiale KTM Red Bull, ma è stato un Ultimate Champion del WESS da solo: il suo furgone, la sua Moto. William Joshua Bolt, detto Billy. 24 anni, baffetti, alto e magro, inglese. Altro Campione IRideWESS. Sembra l’ispettore di un romanzo di Agatha Christie. Invece, bisturi Husqvarna, è il “chirurgo” dell’Hard Enduro, potentissimo contro ogni “variante” dell’Enduro. Wade Young. Biondo, solare, un Big-Jim sudafricano di 26 anni. Ufficiale Sherco, non aveva credito quando è sbarcato in Europa in cerca di fortuna. È diventato un inno all’Enduro, uno della “muta spietata” dell’Hard. Mario Roman, 31 anni, Madrid, Sherco, Alfredo Gomez, 31 anni, Madrid, Husqvarna, la tradizione. Pol Tarres, 27 anni e cromosomi importanti, Barcellona, Yamaha. È la nuova Iberia, terza patria dell’Hard Enduro. Jonny Walker, 30 anni, di Keswick. A dispetto del nome è un lucido esecutore sempre col sorriso sulle labbra. Quando Beta ha deciso di scendere in campo ha pensato a lui. Ce ne sono altri, da scoprire in Toscana.
