2.    ORGANIZATION AND GENERAL CONDITIONS

REDBULL ABESTONE is an OPEN race that can be attended by any riders, regardless of their nationality. These Rules were adopted by the Enduro Committee of the FMI, and the race is on the competition calendar for 2022. The registration fee and all other fees will not be refunded in case of failure to appear at the competition or in case of any kind of drop-out or abandonment or elimination from the competition.

 

3.    CATEGORIES OF PARTICIPATION

REDBULL ABESTONE will start with the qualification day (Saturday, 9.7.22), where all riders will start in the same category, using the same racetrack! The qualifying results then will categorize the field of riders for the Final Day (Sunday, 10.7.22).

 

  • PRO CLASS (only with International FIM license)

 

FINAL A Qualifying position 1 – 50

 

  • EXPERT CLASS
  • GOLD CLASS (51 – 100)
  • SILVER CLASS (101 – 150)

 

FINAL B Qualifying position 51 – rest

  • BRONZE CLASS (151 – 200)
  • IRON CLASS (201 – 250)

4.    Competition-entry

 

The regular fee for REDBULL ABESTONE 2022 is 300 EUR.

 

All riders who pay the full amount in time, have a secured spot on the starting list in accordance with their registration. Note: The bank fee is at the rider’s expense.

 

After 01.06.2022. Online registrations will be closed!!All riders who registered but didn’t pay the fee will be deleted from the starting list!

 

After we confirm your payment you will receive the starting number and you will be placed on the official starting list of the race.

 

5.    TRACK

Participants are obliged to bear all obligations and responsibilities as all other participants in traffic, both in terms of riding and motorcycle characteristics. Enduro motorcycles, two or four-stroke engine type, with one or two cylinders which have been accepted by technical verification, are allowed to start.

 

The racetrack totals an estimated around 30km of off-road terrain and is structured as follows:

 

  • Q1
  • Q2
  • Straight Rhythm
  • FINAL B 10km estimated lap;
  • FINAL A 15km estimated lap;

 

Riding on the racetrack before the event is strictly forbidden. If a rider is noticed riding on the racetrack before the race, they will be automatically disqualified.

The organizer will prepare the Training track available to riders who come to Abetone before the event for practice on 8 July from 15:00.

 

The GPS app is mandatory ! The organization will check competitors if they ride on track without cutting.

 

STARTING PROCEDURES

 

  • The Start of Q1 will be in according to the riding number
  • The Start of Q2 will be in according to the official times riders achieved in Q1
  • After the Q1+Q2, the top16 riders will ride Straight Rhythm 1 on They are paired in the following manner (1-16), (2-15), (3-14)…..(8- 9). After the first round the winner moves to the next circle, and so on.
  • The Start of the Straight Rhythm will be according to the official times riders achieved in Q1 for best 10 riders and Q2 for the other 6 riders.
  • The Start of FINAL B is in Val di Luce and will be according to the official times riders achieved in Prologue at an interval of 30

 

  • The Start of FINAL A is on top of Gondola at 1942mt. and will be in according to the official times riders achieved in Straight Rhythm for top 16 and to the official times riders achieved in Prologue for the other 34 riders at an interval of 10 seconds .
  • The travel of the competitors to the starting area for Final A will be made in an organized fashion, under the supervision of the Organizer.
  • The group will form in the vicinity of Park Ferme, at the time announced by the

 

SERVICE ZONES

 

Between Q1 and Q2 riders are allowed to service their bikes in the official riders paddock. Every rider must use his personal paddock place.

 

During FINALS, a designated service point for refueling and small repairs will be installed on the racetrack.

 

6.    PARK FERMEE

The Organizer will arrange a designated and guarded area, where competitors will have to leave their competition motorcycles. Failure to comply with the Park Fermee and service area rules may lead to penalties or even exclusion of the competitor(s) from the competition.

 

Abetone and Val di luce are tourist resorts located inside a protected environmental area. The race track passes through the protected area. For these reasons some specific rules are necessary:

 

7.    GPS TRACKER

The Organizer will provide a GPS tracker for all riders. With this tracker, the organizer will be able to control your movement during the race. Loosing or switching off the tracker, will result in a investigation of the situation.

 

Notification!

 

A GPS tracker is a device that you will carry in your backpack. It is not a Navigation device!

 

8.    PRIZEGIVING

Prizes for all classes: 1st to 3rd place will receive prizes from the organizer at the official Prizegiving after the race.

 

9.    WHERE TO EAT/ SLEEP

On www.abestone.it you can found all the information about Hotel. Abetone town is 5km from the Paddock situated in Val di Luce valley. Next to the Paddock you can found 2 Hotel Pionieri and Val di Luce Spa Resort. All the others (15-20) are about 3 to 8 km away. In the Abetone ski resort valley you can found many Restaurant .

 

10.     WHY RACING?

This race is happening in an unbelievable place to ride a motorcycle. Only this 3 days you can use the Enduro on this terrain. We have prepare a easy course for Qualification so the race is for everybody who want to test a Hard Enduro Race. Final B is a super accessible race. In Final A things will get more complicated…. But there is a lot to do in the weekend. Starting from the free training of Friday, the official Riders presentation on Friday night where some beers and Redbull will join the first little party. The real party is happening on Saturday night where actually more Redbull will be served and where the music will making more noise.
